Kichereko Safari Limited (KSL) is a tourism company that was established to provide tourist tour/Adventure services to tourists from different parts of the world and help the needy pastoral families who live on the outskirts of the parks with their various needs through which the company generates revenue. Part of its profit goes back to comminutes around Corporate Social Responsibility- CSR.
In this manner, KSL has partnered with the “Societies Transformational and Welfare Improvement – STAWI”, the Non- Government Organization and work with village leaders, Maasai elders, local educators, and government officials to prioritize and complete sustainable projects that benefit pastoralist in rural villages. KSL works to provide the best education, healthcare, clean water, and energy (solar-latent Light) support to all prioritized communities regally.
Since 2020, (KSL) had a mission of supporting primary school pupils in terms of educational materials, and supporting the contribution to building classrooms, building houses for teachers, and boreholes in Tanzania villages. KSL is now continuing to sponsor a program that teaches rural Maasai women how to start and maintain a successful business. In a nutshell, KSL offers the following supports:
Education
Since its establishment, KSL’s mission is to improve access to, and quality of, education in pastoralists’ communities. In the past 3 years, the company has donated thousands of textbooks, uniforms, and food and built facilities for 3 schools, designed to keep kids safe and help them learn safely. We have decided to offer these services after identifying kids coming to school hungry or getting sick because of unsafe food. So, KSL has established a shared program with other supporters and the government to ensure students are nourished and able to focus on learning.
Healthcare
KSL supports healthcare initiatives across most villages in Tanzania, from delivering vital education about preventative medicine in remote communities to providing medical advice to improve access to healthcare. The company works with the local Health Centers to offer access to pre-and post-natal care, improving birth outcomes and helping women and their infants reach a 95% survival rate. The clinic’s doctors and nurses teach patients about everything from proper nutrition to the benefits of vaccinating themselves and their children.
Clean Water
In most areas across national parks, women and girls have to trek for hours every day to find water. They always carry heavy buckets back under the hot sun. From time to time, most fetched water is of likely not safe, dirty, and contains waterborne disease. In an effort to address water issues, KSL offers support in collaboration with donors who contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to build boreholes in pastoralist communities. This brings clean, safe water within close reach of thousands of people in Maasai communities.
Women’s Empowerment
From ancient times as the origin of Africans, Tanzania is still a patriarchal society. In this understanding, women rarely receive the same opportunities as men, either in education or professionally. KSL believe in fair hiring practices, promoting Tanzanian women to top
positions in their fields of career and experience. Working through Villages Conservation Banking (VICOBA) as a local microfinance initiative, KSL care for entrepreneurship among Tanzanian women by offering entrepreneurship and business development capacity building and training sessions to help them sell hand-crafted, beaded jewelry in an effort to independently provide for their families. In addition, KSL has helped women establish businesses in bee-keeping, and leather tanning as these materials be easily found locally,
in agriculture, and in other industries. Together, these groups help nurture confidence in a group of strong women who can go on to improve the lives of their families and the condition of their communities.
With different best wildlife safaris packages, KSL has committed to offering unique corporate social responsibility services which have a resilient commitment to helping communities to benefit from tourism across the Tanzania National Parks. Beyond just hiring Tanzanians to cover and execute all operational interventions in the company, The Management of KSL has carefully identified and committed to supporting “Societies Transformational and Welfare Improvement – STAWI”, the organization, working to promote livelihood development through tackling challenging issues affecting most youth and women in Tanzania because of its integrity and ability to measure their success and their transparency in donations (donor funds) and audits By continuing to provide services to the needy communities of herders, we would like to ask and encourage other loved ones in need to cooperate with us to help the needy community by providing them with aid to improve education, health, clean water, and other important services to reach us and cooperate with us to empower these needy.
